(Grand Old Man of Nature) 。

People of his time loved Burroughs's writings found in his books with titles like Birds and Poets and Ways of Nature. They used to call him the "Grand Old Man of Nature." He looked the part, too, with his long white beard and feathery hair. He felt it was his "duty to record his own unique perceptions of the natural world." We all have our own unique way of seeing the world. Like Burroughs, maybe you have an eye for nature. Write down what you see around you. Ask your family to read your observations. Did they see what you saw?
